A referral link identifies the route through which a new applicant begins onboarding. It does not make the referrer the broker, account custodian or owner of the applicant's funds. This guide explains the attribution journey and the security checks that should remain in place throughout registration.
What a referral link does
Dhan states that a referee should sign up using the referrer's unique link or code for referral attribution. The link carries identifying information into the onboarding journey so the platform can map the eligible account to the referring user.
The registration, KYC and account relationship remain with Dhan. A referral does not transfer control of the new user's account, securities, bank relationship or order decisions to the referrer.
Begin before creating the onboarding record
Open the intended referral link before starting the registration steps. If a user begins through another route first, later attribution can be limited by the platform's current process and terms.
Dhan's support information describes a referral confirmation during onboarding. Read that screen carefully and check the displayed referrer information before proceeding.
- Use the intended link at the start
- Confirm the destination is an official Dhan domain
- Review the displayed referral mapping
- Do not rely on an unrelated coupon-code website
Understand eligibility and current terms
Referral programmes have eligibility, account-status and activity conditions. Dhan's current terms should be read by both the referrer and the new applicant instead of assuming that an old reward amount or promotional claim is still valid.
Do not choose a broker only because a referral benefit may exist. Platform fit, pricing, support, product access, risk controls and official disclosures are more important to the long-term account decision.
Keep credentials and money separate
A legitimate referrer does not need the applicant's password, trading PIN, OTP or remote-device access. TRADE FIRM does not take custody of Dhan deposits or withdrawals.
Complete identity verification on Dhan and add funds only through the methods shown in the user's own verified account. Treat any request to transfer money to a personal account for activation as a reason to stop and verify.
Referral disclosure on TRADE FIRM
TRADE FIRM labels Dhan account-opening links as sponsored referral links. An eligible completion may create a referral benefit for TRADE FIRM, while brokerage, KYC, funds, holdings and execution remain with Dhan.
This disclosure helps visitors understand the commercial relationship before clicking. It does not change the need to independently review Dhan's official pricing, account documents and regulatory information.
A safe referral-account checklist
The account should be opened because the platform and terms fit the applicant, not because of urgency. Keep a record of the official route, the accepted documents and the final account communication.
- Check the official destination and referrer display
- Read current referral terms
- Review current pricing and account documents
- Never share OTPs, passwords or trading PINs
- Fund only the applicant's verified broker account
